The Unofficial British Royal Family Pages

The author of the Unofficial British Royal Family pages, moved from the Netherlands to the United Kingdom in December 1993. She soon became intrigued by the fascination of the British with their royal family and tried to find out why this fascination existed. In her search for information she came across a webpage on the internet from a company called Bedetech, which had almost daily updated news headlines regarding the British royal family.

At the same time Geraldine was looking for something useful to put on her web pages. She wanted to move beyond the basic homepage information of 'hi, this is who I am, this is where I live etc.' and she wanted to make a contribution to the internet community by using her web space and bandwidth in a way which people would appreciate and enjoy.

When Bedetech stopped providing the daily headlines, Geraldine took over and talked about various titles and extra infomration relating to this topic. First she only offered the daily updated headlines. But people from all over the world started to send her email with questions about the British royal family. Initially she replied to each individual, but she soon noticed that she received a lot of the same kind of questions, so she expanded her website with the information people requested. What you are looking at now is the result of a few years hard work and research.

In December 1998 Geraldine moved back to the Netherlands, but her interest in the British royal family hasn't waned so she will continue to update these pages and add new ones!

The Unofficial British Royal Family pages are non-commercial. No money is made from these pages and no money will ever be asked from those who wish to visit the pages. The information on these pages is maintained and updated in Geraldine's spare time, and she does have a full time job as well!
