     I am very sad over the death of the Princess.  Everyone is blaming the
photographers, but they are not entirely to blame.  Someone in that car
ordered the driver to drive at that speed.  They could have called to police
for assistance but they did not.  We all know the rest...  I feel that the
responsible parties are the driver and whomever in that car gave the order to
"speed up."  
     Photographers merely take the photos that the general public want.
 Diana, loved all over the world, made magazines and newspapers sell.  People
wanted to see and buy any news of her, they were interested in her.  If the
general population did not want this sort of material then the photographers
would be out of business.  So if the photographers are to blame aren't all of
us who loved to see news of her?
     I wish they had made a different decision last night and had not tried
to lose the photographers.  If they hadn't been so foolish William and Harry
would still have their mother, and the world would not be grief stricken.
 Unless they were being shot at or their lives endangered by the
photographers, they had no excuse to break the law themselves and have that
car speeding at 100mph.  In my opinion many people are to blame for this
senseless tragedy.

I was very saddened at the news of the death of Princess Diana.  My
heart goes out to her two sons, William and Harry.  It seems such a
waste of such a vibrant, beautiful and intelligent woman.  I feel she
had already been through so much it hardly seems fair that her life
should end this way.  It really is time something is done about the way
the paparazzi hounds famous people.  Everyone is entitled to some
privacy no matter how famous they are.  After all we are all just human
beings.  I hope Prince Charles realizes what this world has lost and
that he concentrated on the needs of his sons instead of what the Royal
Family dictates.

I just wanted to say that we were awake and that we watched the whole 
horror of the Princess's accident almost live on television. What has
happened is a terrible tradgedy that someone so young has had her life
taken so quickly. My thoughts go out to her two sons who now are going
to have to deal with this terrible accident. I can only hope that
something will finally change with the rules regarding the press. This 
is something that never should have happened. We will miss you Princess.

When Princess Di's death was announced I felt sick to my stomach in
shock.  I still have difficulty believing it, she was such a vital
beautiful person.  I have not watched much of the news of her life, just
the basic.  But I was always annoyed at the amount of publicity she
garnered, because of the lack of privacy she received.  I would say to
myself "just leave her alone!".  I hope now some changes will be made
with respect to the papparazzi/vultures.

My condolences go out to William and Harry especially.  To lose their
mother at such a young age is devastating.  My prayers will be with

her name is the best memorial we can give.

mother.

I am deeply saddened by the death of the most lovliest lady this world
has ever seen.  Her sons are in my thoughts and prayers.  They will never
have the chance to grow up with their loving mother by their sides.  

The paprazzi should be held responsible for the deaths of PRINCESS DIANA,
Dodi, and the chaufeer.  I hope that the bodyguard can enlightened us on

As a royal subject living in St. Louis, Missouri, USA for the past year, it
came as a great shock to myself and my family to learn of the tragic death of
Princess Diana in the early hours of this morning.  We have been totally
numbed by this news and wish to pass on our condolences to all members of the
Royal Family.  Princess Diana will be sadly missed worldwide and this
distressing news has had a major impact on our family as I'm sure it has
others all over the world.  Please know that Royal subjects located worldwide

William and Harry I wish that I could give you a 'Mummy Hug' but I
can't. Never forget those special hugs and how much she loved you both.
You are fortunate. Not because you are Royalty. but because she loved
you.

It is so sad to lose the only real compassionate and humanitarian 
person in the royal family.  I cannot but wonder at the timing of this,
after all of the embarassment and difficulty that Di's courageousness
caused the Family.  Particularily her recent outspoken remarks in the
press about the Torys and the Family.  This all seems too tidy to me and
it is too convenient and easy to blame the media/hype/photographers. 
What was the bodyguard doing?  Wasnt the driver a professionally trained
driver, taught to deal with terrorist attacks, kidnappings, etc?  How
different is the Royal Family from any syndicate/organized gangster
network?  Yet I do not expect to ever really hear the real story.

Our Family is so sorry for the great loss you have experience in the 
passing of Her Royal Highness, Princess Diana, your Mother.

her. I think your prime minister should put up a law that would prohibit
reporters from stalking important people, they are not there really for

I'm sorry to bring this up considering it's been on the news ferever 
since last night.

Before I took off to the university [of Regina] to use the computers 
there, i heard that diana was in a serious car wreck..i thought nothing 
at first, figured she'd be okay. Then...when i arrived on the Castle [a 
chatroom in http://www.chathouse.com], the news hit me like a tonne of 
bricks. I always seem to be the last to know about these things ya know.

It brung up a couple of feelings in me.

First, i want to belt the shit out of the press...the ones who killed 
her. I felt like that, even when I was online, "The press killed her". I 
thought it was just a cliche...then i felt angry more then horrified when 
i found out that it was really the press who killed her.

Then...the old feeling..."Even after she died, the press won't leave her 
alone". I mean I feel like I'm better off not knowing about the private 
life of the British Royal family...it's like...it's none of my buisness 
anyway. * deep sigh * If the press weren't so interested in her life, 
then they wouldn't bug her so much and none of this would have ever 
happened.
